Weekly Photo Challenge – Vibrant

For a few moments we had a golden sun.

This week, Jen H. asks that we bring a little color into the dull gray winter. Having recently shared a handful of favorite sunrises, I now have the opportunity to share a few more. The shot above was taken at the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

Bryce Canyon

An October visit to Bryce Canyon surprised us with a snowfall. What better way to welcome the day than morning sun on snow covered red spyres.

Fargo Sunrise-8The sun rises on the Red River of the North near Fargo, North Dakota, illuminating the grasses of the great plains with a golden glow.

111913_2326_ArchesNatio2.jpgIn the desert near Moab Utah, the morning sun brings out the golden tones of the buttes in Arches National Park.
