Nashville – Touring the City

The home of country music is a city of over 600,000 population, so touring can be a challenge. Parking in the downtown area is relatively expensive. When we arrived in Nashville, we selected a hotel that is just across the street from Nissan Stadium, (on the other side of the arena from where the above photo was taken.) Continue reading

Nashville – Home of the Honky Tonks

Over the years, I’ve visited Nashville for both work and vacations. This year, I will have the opportunity to visit the home city of the Grand Old Opry twice, once on our way to the Steiner Family Reunion in Lynchburg, Tennessee, and once for my volunteer job with Civil Air Patrol. The photos from the next few travel Tuesday were all captured in June when we stayed overnight on our way to the Steiner Family Reunion. Continue reading

Cellpic Sunday – 10 July 2016

Nashville Rain-1Nashville, Tennessee.

The home of country music became our home for the evening as we travelled through Tennessee. Of course, we had to stop and walk along Broadway where all the honky tonks are located. No cover charge, walk in, enjoy some music, have a beer or a bite to eat and move on to the honky tonk next door. Lots of talented musicians play the bars there in hopes of being the next Garth Brooks or Keith Urban. Continue reading
